TRAVEL AID GRANT
The T.A.G. – Travel Aid Grant is a T.A.B.S. Place, Inc. assistance initiative designed to help eligible individuals and families who need to relocate or travel due to circumstances that may place their safety, security, or well-being at risk.
T.A.G. may assist with eligible transportation-related needs to help individuals reach a safer destination, reconnect with supportive family or resources, or access an appropriate placement or support system.

Assistance is based on eligibility, available funding, verification of need, and program guidelines.

The T.A.G. – Travel Aid Grant is specifically designed to assist victims and survivors of domestic violence who need transportation to leave an unsafe situation or travel to a safer destination.
T.A.B.S. Place understands that transportation can become a critical barrier when someone is trying to escape abuse, reconnect with a trusted support system, or begin rebuilding their life in a safer environment.

Approved travel may help an eligible survivor reach a domestic violence shelter, verified family member or trusted support person, transitional or permanent housing placement, or another verified safe destination.
Depending on available funding and individual circumstances, assistance may include:
Bus Transportation • Train Transportation • Airline Travel • Local Transportation to Departure Locations • Other Approved Travel-Related Expenses

Sometimes the greatest barrier between someone and a safer environment is simply the ability to get there.
Through T.A.G., T.A.B.S. Place works to help bridge that distance by connecting eligible individuals with transportation assistance and supportive resources that can help them take their next step toward safety, stability, and a new beginning.
