For more than five years, T.A.B.S. Place remained connected to Annette as she experienced homelessness and significant challenges in her life.

Through continued support and collaboration with local resources, nonprofit organizations, community partners, and others, her circumstances began to change.

Today, her story represents something important to us:

And it takes someone continuing to believe that another chapter is possible.

FEATURED SUCCESS STORY WITH ANNETTE

T.A.B.S Place has worked with Annette for over five years. She was displaced from her family suffering from chronic homelessness, living in a tent and chronic alcohol addiction, when we first met but through collaborative efforts with local resources, nonprofit organizations and other entities her life has been restored.
She currently has a relationship with her son and her grandchildren. She now lives in her own apartment, and is establishing roots within her community! She visits Freedom Life Church regularly and was baptized in water, as well as volunteering for T.A.B.S. Place, Inc. To help Transition Another Beneficial Successor.
Homelessness is more than the absence of a home. It can mean uncertainty about where the next meal will come from, where a family will sleep, how someone will replace essential clothing, or where to turn when resources feel out of reach.
Since 2018, T.A.B.S. Place, Inc. has been showing up.
Through hands-on community outreach, direct assistance, resource connections, partnerships, and compassionate support, we have worked to help individuals and families facing homelessness and housing instability move toward greater stability.
Our work isn’t about a single moment of assistance. It’s about meeting people where they are, responding to immediate needs, and helping create pathways toward a better tomorrow.

Every person’s circumstances are different. That’s why T.A.B.S. Place works to provide practical assistance while also helping people connect with resources that can support their next steps.

Our outreach has included:

  • Food & Meal Assistance: Helping provide warm meals, groceries, and essential food items.
  • Clothing & Hygiene Support: Distributing clothing, toiletries, hygiene products, and other everyday necessities.
  • Sheltering Assistance: Helping individuals and families facing housing instability connect with emergency or temporary sheltering options when resources are available.
  • Benefits & Resource Connections: Helping people identify and connect with programs and community resources that may assist with food, healthcare, housing, and other essential needs.
  • Community Referrals: Connecting people with nonprofit organizations, agencies, faith-based organizations, service providers, and other community partners.
  • Ongoing Encouragement: Sometimes assistance begins with simply having someone willing to listen, care, and help identify the next step.

We believe meaningful change begins by meeting people where they are.

Taking Support Beyond Our Doors

For T.A.B.S. Place, community service has never been limited to an office.

Over the years, our outreach has brought us face-to-face with people experiencing some of life’s most difficult circumstances. We have distributed food, clothing and essential supplies, participated in community events, connected individuals with available resources, and worked alongside others who share our commitment to serving the community.

Some needs can be addressed immediately. Others require time, relationships, referrals, advocacy, and continued support.

Whatever the situation, our goal remains the same: serve with compassion, preserve dignity, and help people identify a path forward.
